Burnley

Full assembly and installation of a 40-lane automated tote storage and conveyor system in Burnley, including restock cranes, spiral conveyors, tote stackers, and high-volume infeed and outfeed lines.

971 Mechanical Engineering delivered the full mechanical assembly and installation for a large-scale automated tote handling system at a distribution facility in Burnley. The project included a 40-lane tote storage system, four high-performance restock cranes, and 34 automated infeed and outfeed roller bed lines, designed to support continuous, high-volume product flow. In addition, our team installed a multi-level spiral conveyor network, incline and decline belt conveyors, ten empty tote stackers, and ten lanes of overhead tote storage. This integrated system was built to maximise storage density, streamline replenishment, and maintain rapid order throughput, forming a critical part of the site’s automated logistics operation.
