Installation of a six-tier shuttle storage system, conveyor networks, Gartner hanging systems, and a 40 km micro-trolley system at a high-volume Wakefield distribution centre.
971 Mechanical Engineering delivered the installation of a highly automated storage and conveyance system at a major distribution centre in Wakefield. The project included a six-tier multi-level shuttle storage system, integrated roller bed and belt conveyor networks, and both automated and manual Gartner hanging systems to support mixed product handling. In addition, the site was equipped with a 40 kilometre micro-trolley system, providing high-speed, high-capacity order movement across the facility. This combination of technologies created a fully integrated, scalable logistics environment designed for rapid throughput, accuracy, and long-term operational resilience.
